Willa Reed

Willa Reed is a California native and a 2025 graduate of UCLA, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She demonstrates a strong commitment to public service and a track record of success in political communications across California. Specializing in local government relations as well as artificial intelligence and technology policy, Willa is mission-driven—leveraging her professionalism, creativity, and dedication to build stronger communities through strategic policy initiatives.
Willa’s experience includes leading the City of San José’s largest annual event, the State of the City, for Mayor Matt Mahan, supporting young social innovators through the Westly Foundation Prize, and helping elect Congressman Sam Liccardo. She has also worked internationally in Vietnam, conducted political science research through the UC Center in Sacramento, and supported the implementation of Governor Newsom’s Generative AI Executive Order with California’s Government Operations Agency.
A Paul Walker Foundation scholarship alumna and proud member of Kappa Delta Sorority, Willa is committed to engaging with her community both professionally and personally. In her free time, she enjoys exploring local hiking trails with her three spirited dogs and cheering on the San Francisco Giants and San Jose Sharks.
